Hang With Us
To have success with therapy we make it therapeutic, fun and more of a game to help with patient buy-in. This in turn leads to better outcomes for their treatment. So with that being said we invite you to PLAY with us. For the Next 2 weeks we are having a Monkey Challenge!
The best part about this is that anyone can do it, all you need is a pull-up bar to hang on to!
Most people are able able to jump up and grab a bar, even if they are in severe pain. The protocol can be modified based on available range of motion and pain. We have started our patients with just slowly bending there knees with their feet on a box to start the hang in order to get a small portion of their bodyweight on the shoulders.
The Challenge: Hang with us everyday. Accumulate 1 minute of hanging every day for the next 2 weeks!
It does not have to be all at once. You can try doing 10 seconds multiple times throughout the day. The key is consistency!
